Intermediate Technical Architect
Description
NBBJ Boston is seeking an Intermediate Technical Architect with experience in the design, documentation and planning of complex projects at various scales including large scale hospitals and ambulatory care centers.
This is an opportunity to join a fully integrated design studio where a diverse group of technical architects, interior designers, medical planners collaborate as a team from concept design through construction.
In your new role you will:
- Support the technical design and documentation of projects at various scales, focusing on healthcare environments, from large hospitals to complex department renovations.
- Familiarity in developing and finalizing documents to ensure compliance with building codes, life safety standards, FGI guidelines, with a focus on technical accuracy and regulatory adherence
- Coordinate with interior, MEP, and structural disciplines throughout the design and documentation phases.
- Proven ability to collaborate with Architects, Interior Designers, and Project Managers from Concept Design through Construction Administration
- 5+ years of experience in architectural design and documentation, preferably in complex healthcare or institutional projects. Demonstrated excellence in design and innovation
- Experience in projects from design development through construction administration.
- Strong verbal and graphic communication skills, effective client relationship skills, and talent for working with diverse teams of designers and consultants in a collaborative environment.
- Experience with interior documentation and detailing, including casework detailing.
- Strong Revit proficiency
- Professional Licensure or progress toward licensure is encouraged.
- LEED Accreditation, encouraged
- Familiarity with LEAN Concepts, encouraged
