Overview:
 
Natixis Investment Managers is seeking a Video Editor, Production Assistant that is creative and collaborative with a can-do attitude who enjoys working on a wide variety of projects. The Video Editor, Production Assistant will report to the Design Director in the Strategic Marketing department and will own all aspects of video and audio production from pre-production through shooting/recording and editing to final distribution. They will join the studio team working closely with other content creators, designers, and copywriters as well as all stakeholders to deliver highly engaging content on our products and services and to share our thought leadership through videos and podcasts on a variety of platforms. What you will do:
  • Produce quick turnaround videos and podcasts that stand alone or connected to a multimedia package that highlight our products, services and thought leadership across a variety of platforms.
  • Execute as videographer to carry out productions based on skilled preparation. Responsible for video, audio and lighting equipment setup and operation; directing and leading shoots; conducting interviews and ensuring valuable sound bites are captured; recording voiceovers and podcasts; capturing b-roll.
  • Collaborate with other video team members and content creators to oversee all aspects of audio and video pre-production processes including consultation with internal partners and stakeholders; development of project outlines and shooting scripts; creation of shot lists and storyboards as necessary; creation of and adherence to production schedules; preparation of gear requirements and selection of additional crew (as needed).
  • Contribute to all aspects of post-production activity including video and sound editing to ensure the content is as impactful as possible.
  • Manage external collaborators to ensure projects are of the highest production value and maintain our brand standards.
  • Work in partnership with designers, writers, editors, and other partners to maximize the impact of each deliverable.
  • Craft videos and podcasts for digital distribution.
  • Stay current with video trends and emerging technologies that help to improve production workflow and make valuable contributions to video concepts.
 
What you will bring:
  • Bachelor’s degree in film, videography, or digital related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of demonstrated professional videography, and editing experience. A reel of previous work is required.
  • Advanced knowledge of production workflows, production equipment, studio lighting, and experience in working with and directing on-camera talent.
  • Sophisticated understanding of the principles of the post-production process, motion graphics design, and video editing and techniques.
  • Expertise in Adobe Premiere required along with experience with After Effects and Audition
  • Expertise in capturing high quality video from remote shoots using tools such as WebEx, Teams, Zoom, ON24 and Riverside.fm
  • Ability to coordinate and keep track of a large amount of media.
  • Ability to work both individually and as a high value member of the team.
  • Hard-working work ethic with the flexibility to multitask and prioritize assignments under tight deadlines.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with a wide range of internal/external collaborators at all levels.
  • This job requires on-site production based on our production schedule.
