Overview:

The position resides within the Natixis US Distribution Finance Team, reporting to the SVP of Sales Analysis and Commissions. The analyst will be in an outstanding position to develop and combine detailed knowledge of the Natixis business model (including affiliated investment managers and their areas of expertise, product offerings, US Distribution Sales channels, and profitability drivers) with in depth understanding of the organization’s sales and asset data, source systems, and reporting tools. The analyst will develop reporting and business analysis for Senior Leadership, Finance, Sales, and affiliated managers. Additionally, the analyst will lead the month end sales data management, RFP, and product setup processes. This is a Hybrid role in our Boston, MA location.
 
 
What you will do:
  • Develop an in depth understanding of the Natixis US Distribution business model. Develop a strong understanding of the firm’s affiliated investment managers, product offerings, and primary measures for success within each sales distribution unit.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on internal reporting systems including our transaction vendor management system (SFS/MARs), the data and business attributes maintained in the organization’s enterprise-date warehouse, and reporting and analysis tools such as Power BI and Business Objects.
  • Build and handle recurring and ad hoc reporting for management, affiliate managers, and collaborators across the business which highlights results by manager, product type, investment strategy, intermediary firm, and financial advisor.
  • Research, highlight and present trends as needed. Act as the primary contact and analyst between Finance and team members.
  • Lead the data transformation, loads, and validation process pertaining to separately managed account and Natixis Models sales and asset files. Coordinate with Finance and Data Operations to ensure files are loaded accurately and on schedule during each month end close cycle.
  • Act as the Finance team leader pertaining to the RFP process. Lead the RFP Dashboard in Power BI on behalf of Finance and the Investment Product Management Team.
  • Lead the new product setup process for the Separately Managed Accounts business. Gain familiarity with the organization’s product suite, naming conventions, and reporting dependencies.
  • Provide analytical support pertaining to Natixis US Distribution wholesaler commission plan development, analysis and administration along with analysis of financial data, develop presentations containing US Distribution financials, and provide forecasting support.
 
What you will bring:
  • Bachelor’s degree with concentration in Finance coupled with a minimum 3-4 years related experience.  Financial services experience preferred.
  • Proficient in business reporting and analysis; preferably using Business Objects, Microsoft Excel, and Power BI.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across departments.
  • Detail oriented, a high degree of intellectual curiosity, and very strong analytical skills.
  • Ability to take initiative and tackle problems independently
  • Ability to stay productive and prioritize workflow amidst competing priorities
