Position title:      Vertical Integration Engineer
Department:    EMEA Innovation (remote role)
Reports To:     Vertical Integration Lead  

Purpose:
To support the EMEA Business unit in the expansion of its vertical integration platforms, MCC is looking for a Vertical Integration Engineer to strengthen the team.  This newly developed role will report through the EMEA innovation department.

Responsibilities: 
1.    Technical Leadership: Your focus will be improving MCC existing vertical integration solutions across various technology platforms and deploying new ones that are beneficial to the business. In close collaboration with the EMEA innovation team you will lead the introduction of new innovations, products or procedures which may benefit the customer and/or MCC in efficiencies and commercials.
2.    Technical Support: You will serve as the subject matter expert for our vertical integration platform, ensuring that technical challenges are addressed promptly and effectively. This will expose you to diverse market sectors, materials, and technologies.
3.    Support local onboarding: Where needed, you will support the local teams with the onboarding of new solutions. You will serve as a key Tech/Innovation Specialist, driving technological advancement and integration initiatives at the sites.
4.    Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with multiple internal teams within MCC (including product development (R&D), operations, engineering) and external suppliers. The goal is to provide comprehensive support to customers across the region and facilitate the achievement of shared objectives.

 

Knowledge Skills and Abilities (KSA’s)

Qualifications: 
    Technical Knowledge: Strong technical expertise, ideally within the Print & Coating Industry, with a deep understanding of process and product development. Experience with UV-Hot Melt is a plus.
    Leadership & Project Management: Demonstrated leadership and project management skills, with the ability to think creatively, solve problems, and manage multiple tasks effectively.
    Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, including written, verbal, and presentation abilities, to interact professionally with customers and suppliers.
    Interpersonal Skills: Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and maintain positive interactions with employees and customers.
    PC Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) to perform various tasks and create reports.

    Limited regional travelling will be required (up to 25%).
