HIRING - APARTMENT MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN to join our team in Omaha! This hands on job will deal with make-readies, work-orders, grounds, and shared on-call.
Must have a valid drivers license and the ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
We're on the hunt for a handy hero who can tackle everything from AC issue and leaky pipes to flickering lights. If you love fixing things, keeping spaces looking sharp, and don't mind being the go-to guru for everything that keeps our community running smooth, this job is for you!
SCHEDULE:
M-F 8-5PM
On-call 1 week every 5th week.
PAY:
$22-24 an hour (full-time)
BONUSES POTENTIAL:
$750 quarterly bonuses (based on site performance)
$100 for every week you hold the on-call phone and minimum 1.5hrs paid time for emergency calls

What You'll Be Doing:
- Ensure all work orders are completed in a timely manner based on priority
- Make Ready / Turning Units in between tenants
- Painting/Staining both interior and exterior applications
- Manage and adapt a preventative maintenance program
- Exterior structural maintenance as needed
- Managing coverage of a 24/7 emergency cell phone
- Snow removal (when applicable)
- Pool maintenance (where applicable)
- Work between Pacific Winds and West Haven Apartment Communities
- Housing inspection experience preferred (not required)
The Experience We Like To See:
- 2+ years’ experience in maintenance or equivalent
- 6+ months experience in apartment maintenance
- Dry walling including painting and carpentry
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, sweeting copper pipe preferred
- Basic knowledge of electrical including outlets, switches and light fixtures
- Basic repair and/or diagnosis of appliances including refrigerators, stoves, dishwashers and garbage disposal
- Preferred experience in HVAC and/or boiler system knowledge
- Some knowledge of water heaters both electric and gas
- Problem solving skills
- Be able to provide great customer service to our residents
- Have basic safety training or be willing to go through basic training within 30/days
