Position Title:                   Transit Management Analyst, Emerging Talent Intern
Hourly Rate:                    $19.00 (Undergraduate)
 
Overview of Department:
 
OCC- Stations personnel manage significant events occurring within the stations. Personnel support emergency communication between 472 Stations and personnel at the Operations Control Center (OCC), handling internal and external passenger emergency and information communications via EEBCS, Help Points Intercoms (HPI) and Customer Assistance Intercoms (CAI). The interns will improve MTA's operational efficiency by promoting data-driven decision making, streamlining processes, and automating repetitive tasks.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Drafting Reports
  • Gathering and organize data/information
  • Develop SharePoints
  • Review/Update existing documents
  • Collaborate with Analysts
  • Participate in meetings
  • Offer ideas and solutions
  • Power Apps/ Application/ Webpage design and implementation
  • The collection, evaluation and use of data relating to operational procedures, administrative systems, equipment and space utilization, and staffing requirements, including the preparation of charts, graphs, drawings and technical reports.

Projects:

  • Maintains files and keeps track of important department documents
  • Analyzing Crystal Reports
  • Automating & Streamlining Routine Processes

Required Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is a must.
  • The candidate should possess organizational, analytical and communication skills. 
  • The candidate should be able to work well under pressure and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • The candidate should have a keen eye for detail and be able to work independently while being an active team player.
 Required Education:
 
  • Matriculated in an undergraduate program in good standing with at least a 2.5 GPA 
  • Major(s) Preferred: Business Administration Public Administration, Technology, Computer Science, or related major.
