What We’re Looking For:
Are you excited to take your payroll expertise to the next level? We’re looking for a detail-oriented, collaborative, and proactive Payroll Specialist to join our Payroll team and help ensure a seamless payroll experience for our employees. In this role, you’ll take ownership of our payroll processing for multiple countries within the APAC region, while supporting global initiatives, ensuring that every payslip is accurate, on time, and fully compliant.

As a Payroll Specialist at Meltwater, you’ll be a trusted partner to our HR, Finance, and external vendor teams, managing data, solving problems, and driving improvements across payroll operations. Your work will directly impact employee confidence and operational excellence.

What You'll Do:

  • Ensure employees are paid accurately, on time, and in compliance with company policies and federal, state, and local tax jurisdictions.
  • Calculate wages, additional earnings, deductions, and issuing payments to employees.
  • Process payroll transactions, including new hires, leave of absence, terminations, employee changes, and wage garnishments.
  • Process and audit timesheets.
  • Prepare payroll reports, audit data for errors, and resolve payroll discrepancies.
  • Utilize payroll software to manage payroll data, calculations, and reporting.
  • Maintain accurate employee information, including employment history, compensation, and deductions.
  • Report to the management of payroll issues and changes.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to questions from employees and internal teams.
  • Maintain employee confidence and protect payroll operations by keeping confidential information.
  • Provide required payroll reports to HR, tax, and accounting teams.
  • Assist with payroll projects, including M&A integrations, system implementations and internal and external audits.
  • Reconcile payroll discrepancies with the accounting team.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.

What You'll Bring:

  • Minimum of 5 years of payroll processing experience.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and intermediate Excel skills are a must.
  • Understand payroll and benefits best practices.
  • Knowledge of Workday HRIS.
  • Knowledge of Neeyamo’s global payroll system.
  • Global payroll experience in APAC.
  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
  • Problem solver.
  • Must have the ability to work independently and be resourceful. 
  • Detail-oriented, ability to multi-task and meet tight deadlines.
  • Energy, enthusiasm, personality, and a great work ethic. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to communicate with all levels of personnel in a large organization.
  • Collaborative, versatile, candid communicator, good listener, sensitive to multiple styles and perspectives, building and fostering relationships with the cross-functional team.
