What We’re Looking For:
Meltwater is looking to hire a Bid Manager to join our Global Sales Support team. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting our entire sales organization, with a focus on the Enterprise division - the division that drives our highest value growth opportunities throughout the region.
 
Your primary responsibility as a Bid Manager is to identify, pre-qualify and work on Tenders, RFIs, RFPs/RFQs. You will manage several submissions simultaneously supported by cross-functional teams within Meltwater and our wider partner network. 
 
This includes being responsible for managing different stakeholders in the cross-functional teams, including but not limited to; our talented colleagues from our Enterprise New Business, Account Management, Insight Services, Solution Engineering, and Legal teams, to align on different elements and aspects of the processes while demanding a high sense of urgency and agility.
 
The Bid Manager acts as a knowledge repository and works with the sales team on horizon planning activities, proactively contributing to the RFx and positioning us for success.
 
You will support the development of complex solutions by using in-depth product knowledge and market experience, as well as provide technical expertise to our sales teams to develop their proposals for responding to these complex business opportunities.

What You'll Do:
  • Project management for all RFx, response development.
  • Responsible for seeking clarification from procurement officials.
  • Control all amendments and modifications that might occur during the procurement process.
  • Responsible for content preparation, conceptualizing responses, and writing compelling technical, and financial proposals.
  • Maintain, update, and create tender templates.
  • Work and lead project responsibilities with cross-functional teams.
  • Work with the sales leaders to develop a clear winning strategy for each bid and ensure win themes are clear and compelling.
  • Create, improve, and maintain tender documentation in different formats and languages.
  • Own the “Go and No Go” decision process in collaboration with our sales divisions.
  • Act as a knowledge repository and work with the Sales Team on horizon planning activities, proactively contributing to the RFx and positioning us for success.
  • Manage virtual bid teams and inputs from key stakeholders, typically engaging with sales, marketing, product teams, finance, commercial, legal, and project management/delivery.
  • Drive continuous improvement, through post-bid reviews, both internally and with customers.
What You'll Bring:
  • A Bachelor's degree or higher is preferred for this role.
  • 2-4 years of relevant work experience.
  • Prior experience with software demonstrations preferably in the SaaS industry.
  • Experience curating relevant content to support RFx response.
  • Some exposure to sales processes from prospecting to the closing of business.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Good interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, dependable, trustworthy, and well organized with the ability to work under tight deadlines and in a high-pressure environment.
  • Openness to embrace our hybrid work schedule, requiring presence in the office one day per month.
  • The ability to legally work in the country of hire is required for this position.
