Emergency Veterinary Technician- Overnight

Position Summary:
The Emergency Veterinary Technician plays a critical role in delivering high-quality emergency and critical care to patients. This position involves triage, intensive monitoring, emergency procedures, and direct support of veterinarians in a high-pressure environment. Ideal candidates will have strong technical skills, a calm demeanor under pressure, and a deep passion for animal care.
- Triage incoming emergency patients and communicate critical findings to veterinarians
- Provide emergency and critical care nursing to ill and injured animals
- Monitor and record vital signs (TPR, blood pressure, ECG, etc.)
- Administer medications, IV fluids, and treatments as prescribed
- Assist with emergency procedures, anesthetic monitoring, and recovery care
- Perform diagnostic procedures including blood draws, radiographs, and laboratory testing
- Maintain accurate medical records and patient documentation
- Operate and maintain medical equipment such as infusion pumps, and oxygen cages
- Communicate effectively with clients during high-stress situations, providing education and emotional support
- Ensure a clean, safe, and well-stocked clinical environment
- Follow all hospital protocols and safety procedures
Qualifications:
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 1–2 years of veterinary technician experience (emergency experience preferred)
- Proficiency in emergency procedures and critical care nursing
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and organizational skills
Preferred:
- Veterinary Technician License/Certification preferred but not required
- Experience in a specialty or emergency veterinary setting

Compensation:
This position has an initial hiring range of $24 to $34 per hour based on skillset and experience.
Schedule:
Rotating overnight shifts including weekends. Enjoy a flexible schedule with options for 4 10-hour shifts or 3 12-hour shifts. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or holidays is highly valued.
