Job Title: Pitching Strategist
Department: Player Development
Reports to: Director of Pitching / Director, Player Development
Status: Exempt
Primary Objective: Responsible for providing coordination, support and assistance to minor league pitching development operations as well as collaborating with our scouting group, baseball projects, and our data and analytics team.
Essential Functions:
- Assist with player plan process by providing information on player pitching performance and providing a path forward for development with our players
- Analyze individual performance throughout the season while being able to provide both positive and negative flags in performance. Collaborate with our coordinator/coaching group on the flags and help discuss next steps.
- Assist with amateur/professional player analysis and provide a context and a plan for what PD’s next steps with a newly acquired player would be.
- Coordinate with our data, analytics, and projects group to make sure our pitching portals and information is usable, up to date, and digestible for our staff
- Provide people leadership while collaborating with our coordinators and coaches.
- Design, create and implement the Focus Points book and Peak Performance manual.
- Will perform other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree required. Equivalent, relevant experience will be considered in lieu of formal education requirements if approved by management.
- One (1) year relevant experience required.
- Basic Spanish proficiency

Physical Activities and Working Conditions:
- Required to travel to minor league affiliate locations, including Spring Training

The anticipated starting pay for this role is between $50,000-$90,000, depending on work location. All perks are subject to eligibility requirements and availability and may be modified or amended from time to time.
