Position Summary:
To support the recording of the financial position of the credit union in an accurate and timely manner, and to provide support for the Accounting department in a professional manner.
 
Duties and Responsibilities: 
  • Prepare general ledger daily journal entries.
  • Import daily journal entries into core accounting system.
  • Prepare daily and monthly reconciliations.
  • Assist accounting team members with the monthly sales tax audit. 
  • Assist in completing occasional administrative duties, including maintaining data within accounting systems.
 
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Attention to detail:  Accuracy, thoroughness, and timeliness.
  • Ability to learn and utilize Accounting systems to accurately document financial transactions.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
 
Education and Experience:
  • Pursuing an Accounting degree with two years of schooling completed, to include introductory classes for Financial Accounting, Managerial Accounting and Statistics.
 
Physical Requirements (with or without accommodation):   
  • Long periods of sitting will occur regularly.
  • Occasional lifting and/or moving 15 lbs or less.
  • Use of a computer and telephone required.
  • Occasional bending, stooping, or crouching may be required.
