The Physician Liaison is responsible for developing and maintaining mutually beneficial relationships with physicians and other health care providers and organizations to achieve volume/revenue goals for LMH Health and affiliated practices. This role identifies and establishes long-and short-term strategies relating to business development and service-line objectives, including retention of existing business and development of new business.

Responsibilities:

  • Develops and maintains strong service relationships with specialty and primary care providers through scheduled visits.
  • Develops relationships with new and existing referral sources to support volume of referrals. Seeks and develops new business relationships as appropriate.
  • Notifies management/administration of major changes and opportunities that may exist in strategically defined market areas that could benefit LMH.
  • Monitors competitor’s marketing efforts by gathering and routinely reporting competitive intelligence that could affect LMH and affiliated providers.
  • Develops approaches to communicate with referral sources, hospital-employed and independent providers, hospital service line managers and other resources to facilitate patient referrals.
  • In cooperation with Marketing and Physician Division, assists in the development of marketing and business development plans and develops and implements an organized timely and effective physician/provider communication program.
  • Acts as liaison for customer service issues. Identifies and communicates service issues to appropriate staff for resolution.
  • Assists with recruitment and orientation of new providers.
  • Works effectively and independently with various levels of clinical and administrative managers and employees within the hospital and with physicians and other health care providers.
  • Exhibits excellent customer service, solid interpersonal skills and strong writing and presentation skills, excellent planning and organization skills as well as the ability to maintain confidentiality in all interactions with physicians and providers.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Three years of sales experience in health care or health-related field.
  • Computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Possession of a valid driver’s license.    

Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or health-related field.
