We’re looking for you.

A Pharmacy Resident provides comprehensive pharmaceutical care to patients at LMH. As a licensed pharmacist, residents identify and prevent or limit potential or actual drug-related issues. Residents are in a 1-year intensive learning experience intended to meet the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) - Accredited outcomes for a PGY1 Pharmacy Residency.

Responsibilities

  1. Interprets and clarifies physician medication orders.
  2. Enters medication orders into the pharmacy computer system, completes and monitors patient provides to avoid allergies and drug interactions.
  3. Accurately labels and dispenses drugs.
  4. Assures timely delivery of drugs on the nursing units.
  5. Interviews patients to assess therapeutic use of drugs.
  6. Assesses the pharmaceutical care needs of the patients including drug education needs.
  7. Provides services to meet the assessed pharmaceutical care needs where appropriate.
  8. Supports the mission and vision of LMH and the Pharmacy Department.
  9. Other additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Doctor of Pharmacy Degree from an Accredited School of Pharmacy.
  • Kansas pharmacist license or eligible in the year of application.
  • ASHP national match confirmation.
  • Letter of intent, LMH application, curriculum vitae, academic transcripts, and three letters of recommendation.
