Schedule: Per Need (PRN) 7am-7pm/7pm-7am

Sign On Bonus: $5000 to $10,000 - once moved into RN Positions

 

Position Specific Information: The successful Candidate will be in their final year or semester of Nursing School. Once your license is posted you will move into the RN position offered in the interview process. 

 

Departments: Medical Nursing Unit, Post-Surgical Floor, ICU, Intermediate Care Unit, Emergency Department, Labor & Delivery

The Senior Nurse Technician participates in the management and provision of nursing care for a group of adult medical/surgical patients, with the supervision of a registered nurse. 


Responsibilities

  • Assesses and documents patient’s biophysical, psychosocial, spiritual and educational needs.
  • Collaborates with other clinical disciplines to develop and document a patient/family plan of care.
  • Collaborates with care team members to develop and prioritize strategies to coordinate implementation of the patient/family plan of care.
  • Communicates with the interdisciplinary team to achieve patient outcomes.
  • Assists with administering treatments, and observes/documents patient’s responses.
  • Provides and documents appropriate patient/family education.
  • Documents implementation of interventions in the patient’s medical record.
  • Interprets and reacts appropriately to patient’s responses to treatments.
  • Evaluates patient’s progress towards identified outcomes.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Performs other duties as assigned or requested.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Current Kansas Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) Certification, Completion of a Medical Assistant program (CMA), Current EMT training certification, or completion of 1 year of nursing school
  • Current BLS certification
