We’re looking for you.

The Endoscopic Technician II performs duties within the Clinical Associate scope of practice with the adult patient.  Their primary responsibility is maintaining the scopes, including cleaning, Quality control and repairs.

Responsibilities

  • Works as a Tech in procedure rooms.
  • Competent on advanced procedures
  • Preceptor for new hires
  • Ensures scope is cleaned after each procedure to meet safety standards. Scope Reprocessing/Troubleshooting
  • Validation of machines
  • Assists nursing staff as needed with patient care.
  • Orders supplies for patients, physicians and department.
  • Completes log of procedures and ensures statistics are completed at the end of the month.
  • Schedules procedures correctly with needed details for staff.
  • Answers the phone and takes accurate messages.
  • Performs care according to the population served on the unit as referenced in the Administrative, Scope of Services Policy.
  • Cross Trained in another area: TPC,
  • Performs other duties as needed or assigned.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Current Kansas Nurse Aide Certification
  • BLS Certification
  • SGNA Advanced Associates Certificate within 90 days of hire
  • 1 year experience as an Endoscopy Technician
