The Endoscopic Technician performs duties within the Clinical Associate scope of practice with the adult patient. Their primary responsibility is assisting in endoscope procedures, processing scopes, and assisting with patient care under the direction of an RN.
Responsibilities
- Provides care in accordance with the patient/family plan of care, with the supervision of an RN.
- Communicates pertinent information to the team leader.
- Maintains excellent customer service skills and interacts with customers in a respectful manner.
- Prioritizes work with patients/co-workers efficiently and effectively.
- Performs cleaning and maintain equipment to meet infection control and safety standards.
- Performs care according to the population served on the unit as referenced in the Administrative, Scope of Services Policy.
- Performs other duties as needed or assigned.
Qualifications
Required:
- Current Kansas Nurse Aide Certification
- SGNA Associates Program completed within 90 days of hire
- BLS Certification
Preferred:
- 1 year of endoscopy tech experience
