The Environmental Services Technician will maintain neat, orderly and sanitary conditions by performing a variety of environmental services as directed by immediate supervisor or other management personnel as required.
Responsibilities
- Perform cleaning and disinfecting of all areas according to the department policies and procedures as assigned. This includes departments, patient rooms, offices, hallways, walls and windows.
- Report damage or abuse of property, maintenance concerns and any fire or safety hazards.
- Clean and store all equipment and supplies.
- Will have daily contact with patients, family members, employees and the general public. Must remain HIPAA compliant.
- Must be able to perform duties independently with minimal supervision.
- Performs other duties as needed or assigned.
Qualifications
Preferred:
- High school education or equivalent.
- Previous Hospital Environmental Services experience.
Required Interpersonal Skills:
- Maintain commitment to excellent customer service.
- Must be able to read, speak, write in English & follow oral/written instruction.
- Exhibit professional appearance.
