Remote-first

Since March 2020, our Zoomers have worked remotely and reported an overall better work-life balance with more time for family and personal wellness.

At the end of 2021, LegalZoom made the official commitment to being a remote-first company. Remote-first means that there is no expectation that Zoomers come into an office for a fixed number of days outside of those employees identified as essential onsite workers. While we remain a remote-first culture, our local offices have evolved as collaboration spaces for Zoomers to meet and engage in person.

This position will be (remote/or SF Bay Area, LA Metro, and Austin Metro office location/s).

Overview

The Senior Director of Data Science & Analytics will be responsible for enabling LegalZoom to ship measurably better products by improving our understanding of our customers and how they use our products and using this understanding to help us deliver better customer and business outcomes.  They should also have experience in marketing & product analytics, statistical modeling, experimental design, business intelligence / data visualization, and machine learning.

You will

• Develop deep partnerships with engineering, product, finance, marketing and operations teams to deliver on major cross-functional measurement, testing, and modeling efforts
• Build and lead a high-performing team, nurturing the top talent in data science and analytics
• Work closely with leadership to ensure your team's work supports the company strategy and direction
• Support R&D and investment into future-facing tooling and skillsets
• Partner with Engineering to build a world class experimentation capability and culture
• Develop and implement strategies to effectively measure, analyze, and create automated reporting dashboards on key performance indicators and objectives across business lines
• Increase our ability to scale by creating a culture of data fluency in the org
• Support a globally distributed team while maintaining a core COE

You have

• 15+ years experience supporting SaaS Product companies in fast paced, high growth, tech forward environment
• Strong business acumen that enables you to partner with and serve the Finance, Marketing, Operations and Product areas of the business
• Communication and storytelling abilities that cater to all levels of the organization
• Demonstrated ability to uplevel your staff through coaching and stretch goals
• Understanding of how media mix modeling can be leveraged to intelligently allocate spend and optimize overall business performance
• Experience designing, executing and measuring A/B Testing, Multivariate testing, and incrementality testing; showcasing the ability to leverage specific test constructs based on hypotheses being tested
• Experience designing and implementing CLV models of different customer segments

LegalZoom is a remote-first company and the national range for this role is ($171,000 – 327,800). Actual compensation offered will depend on several factors including but not limited to: geographic location, work experience, education, skill level, and/or other business and organizational needs. In addition, an annual bonus, incentive bonus and/or restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package.
