Remote-first

Since March 2020, our Zoomers have worked remotely and reported an overall better work-life balance with more time for family and personal wellness.

At the end of 2021, LegalZoom made the official commitment to being a remote-first company. Remote-first means that there is no expectation that Zoomers come into an office for a fixed number of days outside of those employees identified as essential onsite workers. While we remain a remote-first culture, our local offices have evolved as collaboration spaces for Zoomers to meet and engage in person.

This position will be SF Bay Area, LA Metro, or Austin Metro office location/s).

Overview

We are seeking an experienced and innovative Internal Communications Senior Manager to keep employees informed, engaged, and connected across our company, and to evolve our internal programs as we grow.

 

You will

 

        Lead LegalZoom’s internal communications efforts, building trust and alignment on company culture, values, vision, and our business goals

        Work closely with LegalZoom’s CEO, Chief People Officer, Chief Marketing Officer, and other senior leaders to set top-level internal communications objectives that foster engagement across the company and keep employees up-to-date on important company milestones

        Define success metrics and regularly measure progress against goals

        Support the People team with internal comms plans for HR programs and policies, including compensation, benefits, diversity and inclusion, internal mobility, etc.

        Partner with C-suite executives across Product, Finance, Marketing, etc. for team-specific needs, from employee experience campaigns to crisis communications

        Develop the internal comms channel strategy for a large, remote workforce, in partnership with HR, IT, and other internal stakeholders

        Produce creative, original content for a variety of platforms to educate and entertain employees worldwide

 

You have

        10+ years of experience leading internal communications work in a large, distributed organization

        Expertise in change management and navigating complicated structural and cultural challenges

        Excellent writing and editing skills and an ability to communicate creatively and succinctly

        A track record of building consensus across teams and generating the support of leadership on critical company initiatives and cross-functional projects

        A history of engaging internal audiences through a variety of media, including video production, editorial and design, events, etc.

        Experience planning, prioritizing, and executing many simultaneous projects and activities

        Passion for entrepreneurship and helping small businesses

 

LegalZoom is a remote-first company and the national range for this role is $104,600 to $135,650. Actual compensation offered will depend on several factors including but not limited to: geographic location, work experience, education, skill level, and/or other business and organizational needs. In addition, an annual bonus, incentive bonus and/or restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package.
