Remote-first

Since March 2020, our Zoomers have worked remotely and reported an overall better work-life balance with more time for family and personal wellness.

At the end of 2021, LegalZoom made the official commitment to being a remote-first company. Remote-first means that there is no expectation that Zoomers come into an office for a fixed number of days outside of those employees identified as essential onsite workers. While we remain a remote-first culture, our local offices have evolved as collaboration spaces for Zoomers to meet and engage in person.

This position will be remote.

Overview

LZ Legal Services, LLC (a LegalZoom company) is looking for individuals to help us grow our trademark practice. If you are detail-oriented, interested in trademarks, and looking to launch a fast-paced career at the intersection of law and technology, keep reading. The incumbent must enjoy analyzing complex legal documents, reading, writing, meeting tight deadlines, and working with attorneys in a fast-paced environment.

 

 

You will

        Manage all aspects of the trademark work done by the group of trademark agents and specialists under your direct supervision including application preparation, review and initial filings; trademark correspondence and post-filing draft work and support to the firm’s docketing efforts.

        Monitor queues/volume, SLA’s and company initiatives to cross-train and re-allocate resources to ensure sufficient fulfillment support is available for various tasks within the trademark process.

        Regularly conduct quality control for each member of your team and provide immediate coaching as needed.

        Monitor each team member's metrics and conduct monthly 1:1 meetings with team members for goal setting and coaching opportunities.

        Train, onboard and provide guidance for your team

        Point of contact for both internal and external escalated matters and determine solutions within a predefined set of parameters.

        Help coordinate the trademark workflow and docket by supporting efforts of all members of the firm to meet deadlines.

        Support operations and other trademark managers by cross-training on related jobs.

 

 

You have

        Graduated from an accredited high school or hold a GED, BA/BS degree preferred.

        A self-starter who has demonstrated a consistent habit to take initiative and provide solutions for complex trademark matters.

        Direct hands-on experience with trademark application processing, ancillary trademark examination procedures and client correspondence.

        Experience with training, onboarding and providing guidance to team members regarding various trademark related tasks.

        Excellent interpersonal skills and the desire to help clients and delight them with top-notch service.

        The desire to analyze, summarize, and prepare complex legal documents under the scrutiny and to the liking of many trademark attorneys.

        Strong leadership skills and the ability to build, unify and increase the skill level within teams

        Demonstrated attention to detail.

        Excellent reading comprehension.

        A sense of responsibility and pride in your work.

        The ability to prioritize work and manage deadlines while managing a team.

        Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

        A high level of computer literacy.

        The ability to meet goals and excel in a high-pressure, fast paced environment.

 

 

LegalZoom is a remote-first company and the national range for this role is ($56,700 - $97,200). Actual compensation offered will depend on several factors including but not limited to: geographic location, work experience, education, skill level, and/or other business and organizational needs. In addition, an annual bonus, incentive bonus and/or restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package. For onsite roles or roles that require periodic onsite visits, LegalZoom requires all employees to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 before starting work, unless precluded from doing so by applicable law.
