Remote-first

Since March 2020, our Zoomers have worked remotely and reported an overall better work-life balance with more time for family and personal wellness.

At the end of 2021, LegalZoom made the official commitment to being a remote-first company. Remote-first means that there is no expectation that Zoomers come into an office for a fixed number of days outside of those employees identified as essential onsite workers. While we remain a remote-first culture, our local offices have evolved as collaboration spaces for Zoomers to meet and engage in person.

Overview

LegalZoom.com is seeking a Director, Business Finance to join our finance team. The highly visible position will have the responsibility of supporting department leaders, building financial models, and identifying and driving key growth initiatives. The optimal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, excellent interpersonal skills, and superb critical thinking abilities to collaborate with teams across our organization and foster data-driven decision-making.  The Director, Business Finance will report to the VP of Finance.

You will

• Own and develop financial planning, analysis, and reporting across LegalZoom’s Product and Partnerships & Enterprise business segments
• Act as the primary finance business partner for the Product organization and Partnerships & Enterprise organization, providing in-depth and insightful financial and analytical support to senior and executive leaders
• Identify and communicate key growth opportunities and deliver compelling analysis to support growth initiatives
• Work in tandem with the Corporate Finance organization to deliver annual, quarterly and monthly financial plans and support the ongoing evolution of the budgeting and planning process
• Be a thought leader to drive continuous improvement, simplify processes, drive standardization, and build scalable solutions
• Lead and develop a best-in-class Business Finance team

You have

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Analytics, or related field
• 10+ years of progressive experience and demonstrated growth in Finance or Analytics positions
• An effective leader capable of scoping and driving large and complex cross-functional initiatives
• Proven ability to set clear priorities, manage multiple simultaneous deliverables to tight deadlines, and achieve results in a fast-paced, dynamic, and often ambiguous environment
• An excellent communicator, with strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to maintain a professional and collaborative relationship with all levels of the organization
• Deep experience with various financial and analytical applications (Oracle, Excel, Google Sheets, Tableau, etc.)
• An experienced people leader having successfully managed a team of four or more, with a proven track record of mentoring and developing talent at all levels

LegalZoom is a remote-first company and the national range for this role is ($141,750-$243,000) Actual compensation offered will depend on several factors including but not limited to: geographic location, work experience, education, skill level, and/or other business and organizational needs. In addition, an annual bonus, incentive bonus and/or restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package.
