Remote-first

Since March 2020, our Zoomers have worked remotely and reported an overall better work-life balance with more time for family and personal wellness.

At the end of 2021, LegalZoom made the official commitment to being a remote-first company. Remote-first means that there is no expectation that Zoomers come into an office for a fixed number of days outside of those employees identified as essential onsite workers. While we remain a remote-first culture, our local offices have evolved as collaboration spaces for Zoomers to meet and engage in person.

This position will be remote.

Overview

Earth Class Mail, a high growth business unit within LegalZoom, is an online service for accessing postal mail, virtually. We are looking for a Finance Manager, who will be a key member of the LegalZoom Finance team. This Finance Manager will be responsible for the close reporting and forecasting process for the Earth Class Mail business unit and will work cross functionally across the organization on strategic finance projects that will drive exponential growth for our business. This is an individual contributor role with room to grow into a people manager position.

You will

• Build and manage financial models that support LegalZoom’s senior leadership team in making critical strategic decisions regarding the Earth Class Mail business.
• Manage the period (month, quarter, and year) end close reporting processes, including performing variance analysis versus plan targets.
• Partner with various stakeholders on both the near term and long-range financial planning and forecasting processes.
• Own the creation of presentation documents for financial reviews with key stakeholders and members of the LegalZoom leadership team.
• Support stakeholders with ad hoc financial analysis and projects.
• Partner with the Operations team in managing the capacity and labor planning process.

You have

• Proven (5+ years) relevant finance experience preferably in Financial Planning and Analysis
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, mathematics, accounting, or any other related field.
• Strong interpersonal skills, including written and oral communication skills.
• Demonstrated excellence in financial analysis and financial model building.
• Ability to meet tight deadlines and prioritize workloads.
• The ability to self-motivate in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment with competing deadlines.
• Master’s degree in finance, mathematics, accounting, or any other related field.
• 3+ years of dedicated FP&A experience.
• Experience providing finance support for an operations, manufacturing, or logistics organization.
• High level of comfort using data visualization and relational database systems (PowerBI, Tableau, SQL).

LegalZoom is a remote-first company and the national range for this role is ($119,700 - $205,200). Actual compensation offered will depend on several factors including but not limited to: geographic location, work experience, education, skill level, and/or other business and organizational needs. In addition, an annual bonus, incentive bonus and/or restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package. For onsite roles or roles that require periodic onsite visits, LegalZoom requires all employees to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 before starting work, unless precluded from doing so by applicable law. The CDC currently defines “fully vaccinated” as two weeks after the second dose for Pfizer and Moderna, and two weeks after the single dose of Johnson & Johnson.
