Overview

Our Finance team is seeking an accounting professional who is familiar with a variety of accounting concepts, business practices, and procedures. We seek an individual who embraces challenges and can rely on his/her experience, educational background and sound judgment to plan and accomplish goals. 

The Revenue Analyst, India Finance Operations, will be responsible for supporting our US Revenue team, and assisting with the establishment of our new accounting shared-services function in Bangalore, India, which will partner and collaborate with our US Finance & Accounting team. The successful candidate will be a self-starter, strong communicator and thrives in a team environment. We are looking for a candidate who is eager to learn and grow within a fast-paced technology company, to gain exposure to US GAAP accounting principles and internal controls using Oracle Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Revenue Management Cloud Services (RMCS) tools. 

You will

  • Report directly to the Senior Manager, India Accounting Operations, with functional reporting to the Group Manager, Revenue
  • Assist with the processing of revenue related transactions including invoicing of customers and application of cash receipts
  • Assist with the processing of data for multiple-element arrangements in support of revenue recognition
  • Prepare journal entries as part of the monthly close cycle
  • Assist with preparation of balance sheet accounts reconciliations 
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statement disclosures related to revenue
  • Analyze and comment on monthly, quarterly, annual variances within income statement and balance sheet line items
  • Assist in the preparation of documentation in support of our internal control environment for SOX compliance
  • Respond to audit requests in a timely manner
  • Assist with ad hoc Oracle reports and requests from the business

 You will have

  • At least 2-3 years of experience in accounting; preferably with a major technology company
  • Bachelor degree in accounting or related field required
  • Strong knowledge and experience with Oracle
  • Knowledge of ERP general ledger systems
  • Good knowledge of Indian tax 
  • Must have a basic understanding of US GAAP and/or India accounting principles and a willingness to learn ASC 606, Revenue from Contracts with Customers (IFRS 15)
  • Excellent written, oral and analytical skills
  • Collaboration and able to work within a team environment
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft office including including intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, vlookups)
