Remote-first
Since March 2020, our Zoomers have worked remotely and reported an overall better work-life balance with more time for family and personal wellness.
At the end of 2021, LegalZoom made the official commitment to being a remote-first company. Remote-first means that there is no expectation that Zoomers come into an office for a fixed number of days outside of those employees identified as essential onsite workers. While we remain a remote-first culture, our local offices have evolved as collaboration spaces for Zoomers to meet and engage in person.
This position will be (remote, SF Bay Area, or LA Metro).
What you will do:
- Help define and steer a fast-growing new business at LegalZoom.
- Work closely with other engineers, product managers and designers to design, build and maintain customer-facing products and interfaces.
- Design and improve our platform and components to help engineering teams across LegalZoom build amazing applications.
- Debug production issues and improve engineering standards, tooling, and processes.
- Join a dream team of amazing engineers to drive innovation within the organization to champion product excellence.
This role will be a good fit if:
- You have 5+ years of experience in a hands-on iOS software engineering role.
- You love deeply understanding your customers so you can create experiences for them that are fast, reliable, engaging and solve for their needs.
- You write code that is elegant, efficient and well tested.
- You are always curious and eager to learn new things and to improve your skills.
- You have strong coding skills in Swift.
- Ideally, you have experience with SwiftUI, Kotlin and Spring Boot.
- You can work independently and deliver high-quality code, but you also know how to ask for help when needed.
- You communicate and collaborate well with other teams and stakeholders.
- You enjoy mentoring others and want to help create an environment where early-career engineers can grow and thrive.
- You are able to travel occasionally for team offsites and conferences.
LegalZoom is a remote-first company and the national range for this role is ($120,000 - $240,000). Actual compensation offered will depend on several factors including but not limited to: geographic location, work experience, education, skill level, and/or other business and organizational needs. In addition, an annual bonus, incentive bonus and/or restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package.
