Role Description
Reporting to the Director of Digital Marketing and eCommerce, the eCommerce Product Owner drives the delivery of Kal Tire’s retail eCommerce (B2C) roadmap.
This role works closely with cross-functional teams to optimize and enhance features to improve the online customer journey, digital shopping experience.
Core Responsibilities
Customer Facing Technology
- Acts a Product Owner for customer facing websites, working closely with members of the marketing and digital solutions teams to manage the roadmap for both websites.
- Ensure user experience and content are optimized to maximize conversion goals with a specific emphasis on user experience.
- Working with our digital marketing analyst to ensure tagging, site tracking and pixels are properly implemented for performance measurement and analytics reporting.
- Attends scrum, backlog grooming and refinement and sprint planning meetings.
- Ensures backlog is groomed, working with the Director of eCommerce on roadmap and backlog prioritization.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with stores, products, customer service, supply chain team members on operational enhancements and issues.
- Manages KalTire.com content (beyond retail eCommerce), by working closely with other Kal Tire stakeholders (commercial, human resources, communications, information
services primarily) and digital agencies.
Work Experience
- 3–5 years of product owner / management experience, preferably in ecommerce or digital retail with demonstrated results.
- Experienced managing a digital product roadmap, managing a backlog, and following a hybrid-agile methodology.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Experienced working in an eCommerce platform and core experiences (homepage, PLP, PDP, cart and checkout) (preferably Salesforce Commerce Cloud B2C)
- Strong understanding of online shopping CX, UX/UI design principles.
- Collaborate with UX/UI designers, developers, and business stakeholders to define product requirements and user stories.
- Ability to translate business objectives into actionable user stories, product briefs, and acceptance criteria.
- Effective business analytical and interpretive skills to analyze customer data and site metrics to identify opportunities for enhancement.
- Familiar with using GA4 and Looker Studio
- Digital marketing experience is considered an asset.
Education
- An undergraduate diploma or degree in marketing, technology or business discipline.
- Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) certification is preferred.
