Who we are looking for:   

Are you interested in culinary arts? The GRIP Program, is looking for a Cook to prepare lunch and dinner meals during the week as well as assisting staff in ensuring that meals are available during the weekend.   

The GRIP Program is a Group Home treatment setting for adolescents that specializes in trauma informed care. GRIP provides 24-hour comprehensive care including a full clinical staff, nursing staff, and direct care staff.   

Schedule: Fulltime (32/40 hours per week)   

Salary: $21/hr   

JRI provides the training so that:   

  • YOU will hold responsibilities that include meal planning and preparation, purchasing food at local grocery stores and through a third party vendor.   

  • YOU will main the cleanliness of the kitchen and the dining room.   

  • YOU will work with a dietician to identify food allergies or nutritional needs of each resident.   

  • YOU will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to provide the residents in our care with a safe, respectful, supportive environment.

Requirements:   

  • Must be 21 years of age.   

  • Serve Safe Certification strongly preferred.   

  • Kitchen experience is required.   

  • Experience in a community or school kitchen setting preferred.   

  • At JRI, you will learn to provide physical interventions and verbal de-escalations to provide the safest therapeutic atmosphere for our students!   

  • Background and driving record checks will be performed.
