Who we are looking for:

Are you the Case Coordinator Supervisor we have been looking for? JRI’s FOCUS Program provides temporary emergency shelter, diversion services, case management, and stabilization services to families in southeastern Mass. who are homeless or at-risk of becoming homeless. FOCUS utilizes a collaborative, strength-based approach with the families by applying motivational interviewing and trauma-informed care. FOCUS supports the family’s efforts in battling the effects of poverty and homelessness while searching for permanent housing.

JRI provides the training so that: 

  • YOU will be responsible for the supervision of case management personnel.
  • YOU will work with case managers to provide support services to homeless families in the Taunton, New Bedford, Fall River, and Attleboro areas.
  • YOU will facilitate case reviews with case managers with a primary focus on Housing First – housing placement for clients in shelter.
  • YOU provide case management to ensure families’ needs and goals are being addressed.
  • YOU will exhibit positive leadership, and be responsible for orientation, supervision, professional development and evaluation of case management personnel.
  • YOU will be responsible for conducting biweekly/monthly individual supervision, implementing program policies and procedures, providing support & direction to all program staff, and establishing and maintaining appropriate, positive working relationships with staff and clients.

Requirements:

  • Applicants must have a Bachelor’s in Social work or related field.
  • Applicants with at least 3 years supervisory experience are preferred.
  • Applicants should have experience working with homeless population.
  • Applicants with experience with state departments (e.g. DHCD, DTA, and DCF) and Homeless Management Information Systems are preferred.
  • Applicants must have a valid driver’s license, access to a reliable vehicle, and be able to provide families with transportation if needed.
  • Background and driving record checks will be performed.
