Who we are looking for: 

Are you the Drop In Coach we have been looking for? In this position, you will be able to convey your passion for helping others with a dynamic team by bringing an energetic and positive approach while working with our students! 

Our Independent Living (IL) Program houses young individuals from 18-24 years old in small efficiency-type apartments or shared-living housing throughout the Metro, Boston, Central, Northeast and Southeast DCF regions.

This would be a full time position with 16 hours at our Waltham area location and 16 hours at our Lowell area location! 

JRI provides the training so that: 

  • YOU will be able to provide support for the individuals we serve by “dropping in” in their independent apartment setting to help ensure compliance with program rules
  • YOU will be able to provide crisis management if there were to be a crisis during a visit to one of the individuals we serve.
  • YOU will be able to help maintain a safe independent living apartment by providing searches for contraband that are not allowed in our programs.

Requirements: 

  • Must be 21 years of age.
  • High School Diploma/equivalent required
  • Maintains valid driver’s license as transporting students is required.
  • Residential program or mental health program experience required; experience working with specialized populations of adolescents required
  • Available to work evenings, holidays, weekend shifts as required.
  • At JRI, you will learn to provide physical interventions and verbal de-escalations to provide the safest therapeutic atmosphere for our students!
  • Background and driving record checks will be performed.
