Are you the Overnight Residential Counselor we have been looking for? In this position, you will be able to convey your passion for helping others with a dynamic team by bringing an energetic and positive approach while working with our clients!   
 
Rising Futures Young Parent Living Program (Formally known as the Teen Parenting Program) is a DCF and DTA funded residential program for teen parents who are pregnant and/or parenting. We provide apartment style living in a staff supported environment. The YPLP offers services including independent living and parenting skill groups, education and job search support, day care and medical referrals, housing search and aftercare support.  
  
We are currently looking to hire a part-time staff member for our 3rd Shifts. Overnight shifts are AWAKE from 12 AM - 8 AM. The schedule is Thursday and Saturday (16 hours) with the potential to pick up additional shifts as they come.  
  
The ideal candidate must be a team player, be safety conscious, have excellent boundaries, & excellent verbal and written communication skills.  
  
Due to the nature of our work and the youth who are depending on us, there are times where overtime may be mandated.  
  
What You'll Do:  
  • Check clients & children throughout the night.
  • Complete light cleaning tasks.
  • Assist clients when needed throughout the shift with independent living skills, parenting skills, and other needed issues.
  • Transport clients to bus stations and school in the mornings (if applicable).
  • Administer medications to clients and children.
  • Document all client interactions.
JRI Provides The Training So That:  
  • YOU will interact and communicate with residents, staff, families and collaterals in a professional manner.
  • YOU will conduct and transport residents to scheduled recreation activities.
  • YOU will complete shift paperwork including reports, communication, incident reports, and special plans.
  • YOU will follow and implement all treatment plan addendums or special plans.
  • YOU will attend scheduled staff meetings, required trainings, and provide emergency shift coverage as required.

Requirements:  
  • High School Diploma.
  • Active Driver’s License.
  • Candidates should have excellent organization and communication skills.
  • Candidates with previous work experience with adolescents in a residential or inpatient setting are preferred.
  • Background and driving record checks will be performed.
