Cohannet Academy, located at Taunton State Hospital, is a Joint Commission-Accredited Intensive Residential Treatment Program (IRTP) specializing in trauma-informed care. Cohannet Academy is contracted with the Massachusetts Department of Mental Health (MA DMH), to provide in-house services and treatment to adolescent biological females, ages 13 to 18. Many of the youth have histories of complex trauma and unstable home lives, prior hospitalizations, and unsuccessful interventions in less-intensive settings. Cohannet Academy provides a safe and energizing therapeutic environment from which the youth can learn and grow. Cohannet works with each youth and their family to establish a trajectory of hope and accomplishment.

What You'll Do:

We are currently seeking an EKG Technician to conduct resting EKG’s with our youth. In this position you would explain procedure to patient prior to testing, assists in gathering patient assessment data for physician review, assures adequate equipment and supplies for testing, maintains accurate records.

Requirements:

  • Must be at least 21 years or older.
  • High school graduate.
  • Successful completion of a training program in EKG/Cardiology procedures
  • Medical experience preferred 
  • Background and driving record checks will be performed.
