The Children's Friend and Family Services division of Justice Resource Institute is currently looking for a Substance Use Prevention and Treatment Clinician who has interest and skills in providing holistic, healing-centered therapy informed by a deep understanding and appreciation of substance use recovery to our persons served in an outpatient therapy setting!  We have and support a diverse array of modalities for treatment, specifically for trauma, and would love to find the right fit for our dynamic and growing treatment team. 

As a Substance Use Prevention and Treatment Clinician, you will be empowered to build on our trauma-informed framework of ARC (Attachment, Regulation, and Competency) and fold in evidence-based models for treating substance use disorders.  You will receive and advance your training here at JRI in Motivational Interviewing and A-CRA (Adolescent Community Reinforcement Approach) and participate in our internal consultation team focused on substance use prevention and treatment.

JRI's Lawrence Outpatient Clinic is seeking a Master's level Clinician to provide outpatient therapy to children and adults. 

The Clinician is responsible for the clinical care of individuals of various backgrounds and diagnostic profiles. The Master’s Level Clinician provides an active role in supporting individuals to become their best selves within the structure of their home and communities. Clinicians have an opportunity to use their clinical skills and knowledge to explore what methods work best for each unique person. While also continuing to use and explore individual, couples or family therapy styles in the outpatient setting. 

Requirements:
Educational requirements: Minimum of Master’s degree in Social Work, psychology, counseling from an accredited college or university required. Independent License preferred, but not required. We will provide supervision towards licensure for the right candidate.
 

Experience: 

  • Community mental health program experience preferred; experience working with specialized populations preferred.
  • Experience in therapy modalities of various styles. Knowledgeable in growth and development; able to obtain and interpret information in terms of the needs of emotionally disturbed, mentally ill youth and their families; understanding of the range of interventions and treatment required by this population.
  • Must also have an acceptable CORI (Criminal Offender Record Information), OIG background check, and appropriate driving record.
