Program Description:
Bay Cove Academy is a therapeutic day school located in Brookline, MA providing services to
students ages 12-22 with complex social-emotional learning needs. Approved by the
Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education, Bay Cove Academy
students and their treatment teams receive comprehensive educational, clinical, behavioral, and
family engagement support with a model of care tailored to each individualized student within a
trauma-informed environment.
Job Description:
This is an exciting opportunity to support an innovative and well-respected special education
therapeutic school. The Dean of Operations will be responsible for implementing and overseeing
systems and procedures. They will be responsible for the school’s programming, hiring and
onboarding new staff, developing and leading in-service professional development trainings,
and oversight of students daily data collection. The Dean of Operations will supervise milieu
staff and the Milieu Coordinator.
The Bay Cove Dean of Operations will be an integral member of the Bay Cove Academy School
Leadership team that works collaboratively together. This group of team leaders are responsible
for professional development, curriculum oversight, policy implementation, technology
advancement, promoting inclusivity and diversity to implement best practices and apply
research to lead the school.

Requirements:
- Advanced degree in psychology, education, social work, or a related
field from an accredited college or university. - At least three years’ experience, at the management level, collaborating and
coaching effectively with supervisees to improve overall functioning of the milieu. - Significant experience working with students who require therapeutic interventions and support.
- Excellent communication skills (oral and written) and leadership abilities.
- Knowledgeable of the needs of the population served; understanding of the range of interventions and treatment required by
this population. - Experience in Performance Improvement concepts preferred.
- Acceptable CORI (Criminal Offender Record Information) and OIG background check.
