My Life My Choice is a survivor-led pioneer in the fight to end the commercial sexual exploitation of children (CSEC). We believe that no one should be bought or sold. We offer a continuum of survivor-led services, including Survivor Mentoring, intensive case management, groupwork and mental health services; exploitation prevention programming and solutions; and professional trainings and advocacy. Over the past 20 years, we have served more than 3,300 youth and trained more than 21,300 providers, in Massachusetts and nationally.

Position Overview:

The Director of Training and Prevention leads My Life My Choice’s nationally recognized training team, oversees prevention solutions, strategy, and programming, and is responsible for developing and implementing a robust consultation strategy with a specific emphasis on congregate care policy and procedure. The Director of Training and Prevention is a member of the management team and provides leadership, mentorship, and training for staff. This position reports to the Assistant Director and provides supervision to Training and Prevention team members. This is a hybrid 40-hour per week position with the option to work from home two days per week.

As Director of Training and Prevention, you will:

  • Further develop and implement a training, prevention and partnership strategy to increase the reach and impact of our professional services in Massachusetts and nationally.
  • Provide leadership and strategic support to create, build, and maintain key external relationships that help expand our reach and impact in Massachusetts and across the country through trainings, prevention partnerships, consultation, and targeted community engagement.
  • Collaboratively lead the strategic direction and management of the Training and Prevention department, ensuring all training and prevention materials and information reflect current trends, research, and best practices, and incorporate survivor voice and leadership.
  • Oversee the development of new trainings and prevention programming in response to needs in the field.
  • Provide oversight and direction to ensure all logistics (registrations, invoices, evaluations, CEUs, etc.) of all trainings, webinars, community engagement efforts, and consultations are efficient, customer-centered, and completed in timely manner.
  • Work collaboratively with the Outcomes and Evaluation Manager on establishing, monitoring and evaluating goals and metrics.
  • Work cross departmentally to support the fiscal oversight of the Training and Prevention departments as well as ensure programs are marketed effectively to increase our reach and impact.
  • Provide supervision, support, and direction to members of the Training and Prevention team.
  • Work cross departmentally and provide support, direction, and leadership in developing a community engagement strategy spanning our programs and service area.
  • Serve as leader at My Life My Choice by uplifting and modeling excellent communication, boundaries, and accountability, as well as demonstrating respect for all team members, actively engaging in and encouraging participation in team building and community building events and activities, and contributing to the overall success and strategy of the organization.

We are looking for a candidate who has:

  • Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree preferred.
  • 5+ years experience in providing professional trainings and/or education.
  • 3+ years experience working with trauma-impacted youth, in a congregate care setting preferred.
  • Enthusiasm for building and managing partnerships, including negotiating simple contracts and conveying the value and importance of My Life My Choice professional services.
  • Experienced project manager with exceptional attention to detail while also holding the big picture and overall strategy.
  • 3+ years experience supervising staff.
  • Expert in CSEC, including CSEC prevention, response and recovery.
  • Exceptional communication and relationship building skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite, Survey Monkey, Zoom, and Excel, and willingness to learn, adapt, and lead the implementation of new technologies. Experience with Salesforce a plus.

Salary and Benefits:

Salary range: $78,000-$85,000 annually.
