If you answered yes, then JRI is looking for you for Fall 2024.  

JRI’s Community Based Services division provides care to ensure that families and their children with significant behavioral, emotional, and mental health needs obtain the services necessary for success in the home, school, and community. In this position you will be able to convey your passion for helping others by supporting this mission. Our TAP staff provide services in the an after school environment utilizing strength-based and needs-driven choices, offering a team-based approach collaboration with the people we work with that is grounded in culturally competent, individualized services and the use of evidence-based practices.  

During Your Internship You Will:  

  • Learn how to use new clinical interventions to support youth in a social and educational setting.
  • Explore your clinical knowledge through use of evidence based and culturally competent modalities 
  • Strengthen your documentation skills and use of electronic medical records. 
  • Be an integral part of a multidisciplinary team supporting youth and families.

Requirements:  

  • Minimum working towards a Bachelor's degree or above in the mental health, social work, or human service field. 
  • Interest in working with children/adolescents is required and familiarity with trauma informed models of treatment preferred. 
  • Good written and oral communication skills are necessary.
  • Background and driving record checks will be performed.
