POSITION SUMMARY: Video/Motion Graphics Editor
Jackson Family Wines is looking for an eager and diligent Video/ Motion Graphics Editor that thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. This role’s primary focus will be on the post- production process, managing multiple projects across varying teams simultaneously, including Marketing, Sales, Education, Executive Team, and Communications. By leveraging the power of storytelling through developing dynamic and engaging video content, this role plays a key part in supporting Jackson Family Wines and sharing the nuances of our incredible wines in new and exciting ways.
Essential Functions/Duties:
- Video Editor highly skilled in editing, creating essential graphics for scalable production to custom animations, color correction, audio mixing, and delivery of digital videos in different codecs and compressions to support brand websites, social media, mobile sites and applications, internal communications, and broadcast.
- Media/project management and workstation maintenance (LTO and digital archiving) and collaborating with IT on maintaining your computer and infrastructure updates for Digital Asset Manager systems (DAMs).
- Production assistance as needed (camera set-up, audio support, rig lighting, etc.).
- Must have a vehicle for transporting production equipment.
- Occasional local travel and flexibility for longer trips is necessary for this position.
Qualifications/Experience:
Essential Skills, Experience, and Education
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience at a production house/studio/firm that required editing/motion graphics projects for commercial, social, websites, mobile sites and applications.
- Proficiency with Adobe Premiere, Media Encoder, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator.
- Familiarity with modern codecs, bit rates, compression methods, aspect ratios, and delivery standards for broadcast, internet, and specialized use
- Technical proficiency with Mac workstations and peripherals (video cards, RAID hardware, etc.).
- Familiarity with file-based editing workflows (DSLR, RED, Alexa, AVCHD, etc.).
- Ability to manage multiple projects at once as priorities can shift.
- Comfortable working independently and with a team to execute best-in-class creative while at times taking the reins when clear client directive is not provided.
- Demo reel and a portfolio to match.
Wage transparency:
The base salary for this role ranges from $75,000 to $85,000. Compensation will be determined by candidate experience, skills, and location.
