About the Role:

We are looking to hire an organized and motivated Accounts Payable Manager to join our growing team at IPSY in Buenos Aires. We are looking for someone who’s able to increase department efficiency and provide strong leadership to our Accounts Payable Department.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Oversee all accounts payable processes from petty cash to expense reports and account reconciliation
  • Managing routine department activities, such as disbursing checks, wires, and ACHs to ensure that they are completed accurately and timely
  • Review the 3-way match process and reviewing accuracy before authorizing payments
  • Maintain accurate and complete vendor records
  • Manage monthly closing of financial records and posting of month-end information; ensures the accuracy of financial statements
  • Automate any manual accounting and financial reporting or analysis with accounting software
  • Act as a liaison for the accounting department to solve accounts payable disputes
  • Assist with an external audit by analyzing and scheduling general ledger accounts; providing information to auditors. Support annual independent audit and regulatory audits as required
  • Set and facilitate the achievement of department objectives
  • Support the company’s existing accounting procedures improvement and internal controls and seeking opportunities to improve accounting operational efficiency and effectiveness
  • Develop, implement, and maintain key policies and procedures for your area of responsibilities
  • Hire, train, motivate and evaluate team members
  • Provide ongoing support to business partners

What We’re Looking For:

  • Minimum 4 years of accounting experience and Accounts Payable procedures
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, CPA (preferred). Big 4 (3+ years) and private industry experience (5+ years) are strongly desired
  • 2+ years of leadership experience
  • Ability to analyze information and processes
  • Understanding of US GAAP standards
  • Retail or e-commerce experience is strongly preferred
  • Public company experience is a plus
  • Experience with ERP systems. NetSuite is a plus
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, Vlookup, Sumif, etc.) and the ability to quickly manipulate and analyze large data sets and build reports
  • Excellent verbal, written communication, and interpersonal skills needed to develop collaborative working relationships with cross-functional teams
