JOB DESCRIPTION
 
The Associate Consultant supports the planning, scheduling, monitoring, controlling, analytical and other tactical aspects of projects, or manages straightforward projects or sub-projects with more autonomy, as assigned.  As a Project Management Associate, he/she works closely with the project manager and project team to ensure detailed planning of activities, comprehensive documentation of critical project information, and sound decision making through thorough analysis of information.
 
At each new engagement, you will gain experience from working with a variety of clients and project types. Projects can range from life sciences product development, manufacturing operational excellence initiatives focused on manufacturing improvements, supply chain optimization, or capital expansion, to business technology projects centered on enterprise business technology initiatives, transformations, and continuous improvement.
 
Primary Responsibilities and Duties
  • Support development of Project Plans and Schedules that represent the appropriate level of detail and task interdependency.  
  • Compile and analyze data and develop summary reports/presentations.
  • Support development of project budgets and update, as required.  Develop summary reports and analysis suitable for PMC review.
  • Support development and update of Project Plans governing communication, risk, roles and responsibilities, etc.
  • Support development and distribution of project status reports, dashboards, meeting minutes, action item logs, etc. to the project stakeholders.
  • Research appropriate technologies and apply technical knowledge to ensure effective delivery of project requirements.
  • Manage straightforward projects or sub-projects with appropriate support of a supervisor, including conducting initiating, planning, monitoring, controlling, and closing the project in conjunction with the client team.
  • Produce and present clear, concise, and professionally written communications.

  • Proficiency in core Microsoft software products (e.g., Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Project) and a strong aptitude for learning new software products. Visio proficiency preferred.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a science field, engineering, healthcare or a related field.
  • Relevant Certifications related to project management and to Life Sciences, Operational Excellence, and/or Business Technology.
  • 2 – 5 years of related experience in the following:
    • Life Sciences product development (pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or medical device)
    • Manufacturing or supply chain
    • Enterprise business technology
