Senior Compliance Engineer
Description
The Senior Compliance Engineer will support the growing compliance and regulatory demands of InVue product development. This role ensures that products meet regulatory, safety, and industry standards throughout the design and manufacturing process. They lead testing, documentation, and certification efforts for global compliance, working closely with engineering, quality, and legal teams. This role may also support quality testing and process development during periods of low compliance activity.
RESPONSIBILTIES:
- Interpret and apply complex regulatory requirements (e.g., ISO, IEC, FCC, UL, etc.) to engineering processes and product development
- Provide technical leadership to design and development teams to ensure products are developed with compliance considerations in focus
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including compliance reports, test plans, and validation protocols
- Foster relationships with global regulatory bodies and certification agencies (SGS, DEKRA, Intertek, UL, TUV Rheinland, TUV SUD, Etc.) to maximize efficacy and efficiency of qualification efforts
- Monitor changes in regulations and standards and update internal processes accordingly
- Lead compliance process development resulting in significant productivity improvements
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior compliance engineers regarding compliance best practices
- Ability to support quality laboratory testing and processes including test setup, tear down, test execution, reporting, root cause analysis, and corrective action during periods of low compliance activity
- Assists quality laboratory leader, manufacturing project engineers, and design engineering team members by innovating, executing, and maintaining the quality management system, especially to drive InVue suppliers to conduct effective testing and validation according to InVue test plans
- Ensure timely resolution of supplier failure, corrective actions and preventive actions
- Travel to suppliers and test agencies as required
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related science field and 5+ years of relevant experience or Associate of Science degree in engineering or related science field and 6+ years of relevant experience required
- Extensive experience working with global regulatory bodies and certification agencies
- Strong understanding of technical standards and regulatory frameworks relevant to the industry
- Excellent analytical, documentation, and communication skills
- Ability to interpret complex technical and regulatory information
- Characterized by integrity and high professional standards
- Strong project management and communication skills including reporting of compliance budgeting and project schedules
- Ability to work effectively within time constraints and changing priorities
- Familiarity with REACH, RoHS, PFAS and sustainability regulations
- Submission experience with CE, CB, UL, FCC and other related submission processes
- Experience with RFID, Wireless, IR, and Bluetooth a plus
- Strong written and spoken communication skills with good English language capability
- Team spirit, responsibility, detail oriented, flexible, fast learner, and adaptable to new environment
- Very good attitude in problem solving and optimization
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications

- The role is located in Shenzhen, normally working in our test lab.
