About the Job  

We are currently seeking a mid-level geologist or hydrogeologist in our Investigation and Remediation business area.  The position will support multiple clients and projects, with a focus on quantitative hydrogeology to investigate groundwater fate and transport. The day-to-day work will vary and may include data analysis, site conceptualization, numerical modeling, field work, and report writing. Most assignments will require teamwork, though a few will be entirely your responsibility.  

This position may offer in-office, hybrid, or remote opportunities based on the candidate’s location and the needs of the organization.  

Responsibilities  

As a mid/senior-level Scientist, your job functions will include, but not be limited to:  

• Performing/supporting site investigations and remedial action activities under federal and state lead regulatory programs
• Managing tasks and small projects
• Performing groundwater modeling evaluations 
• Communicating technical information to varied audiences (e.g., clients, staff, regulators, and stakeholders)
• Writing technical reports
• Mentoring staff

Qualifications  

Candidates should hold a B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. degree in hydrogeology, geology, environmental science, environmental or civil engineering, or a related technical field.   

The ideal candidate will have:  

• 8+ years of professional experience
• Experience in task or project management
• Strong quantitative and problem-solving skills
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• A desire to grow intellectually and professionally
• Demonstrated ability to work successfully within multidisciplinary and diverse teams
• Experience in development and application of groundwater models (e.g., MODFLOW, GW Vistas, MT3D)
• A professional hydrogeologist, geologist, or engineering license or on track to obtain.

Annual Salary Range: $105,000-$130,000  

An employee’s total compensation package includes annual salary, company-subsidized (employee and family) medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) participation with a company-match of 1% to 4% of annual compensation, company-paid life and short- and long-term disability, paid sick leave (80 hours per year), paid vacation (18 days), paid holidays (9 days per year), and the potential for an annual discretionary bonus based on company performance. Paid time off will be pro-rated to reflect part-time scheduled hours, if applicable.
