About the Job
We are currently seeking a mid- to senior-level geologist, hydrogeologist, or engineer for our Investigation and Remediation business area. The successful candidate will be a detail-oriented, well-organized experienced individual who can provide technical and strategic leadership on client projects in multiple state and federal jurisdictions. The candidate will have rich and varied experience in the Pacific Northwest, have a high degree of technical competence, be able lead multidisciplinary teams, and effectively communicate with clients, counsel, and stakeholders. The ideal candidate will work strategically with clients and senior leadership and ensure that tasks are executed on time and accurately by the project team.
Responsibilities
As a mid- or senior-level Scientist/Engineer, your job functions will include, but not be limited to:
- Leading/performing/supporting remedial investigations and remedial action activities under federal and state lead regulatory programs
- Leading/performing source control evaluations
- Conducting project and task management
- Preparing cost estimates to complete investigations and/or conduct remedial alternatives analyses
- Communicating technical information to varied audiences (e.g., clients, staff, regulators, and stakeholders)
- Writing technical reports
- Coordinating and delegating workflow to achieve high-quality work products
- Leading and mentoring other staff
Qualifications
Candidates should hold a B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. degree in hydrogeology, geology, environmental science, environmental or civil engineering, or related technical field.
The ideal candidate will have:
- 8+ years of professional experience
- P.G. or P.E. license
- Project experiences working with Washington MTCA regulatory framework
- Experience in project and client management
- Strong quantitative and problem-solving skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- A desire to grow intellectually and professionally
- Demonstrated ability to work successfully within multidisciplinary and diverse teams
- Up to date 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER Training Certification
Annual Salary Range: $105,000 - $165,000
An employee’s total compensation package includes annual salary, company-subsidized (employee and family) medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) participation with a company-match of 1% to 4% of annual compensation, company-paid life and short- and long-term disability, paid sick leave (80 hours per year), paid vacation (determined by title at hire), paid holidays (9 days per year), and the potential for an annual discretionary bonus based on company performance. Paid time off will be pro-rated to reflect part-time scheduled hours, if applicable.
