Insurity’s Next Product Owner

Insurity is looking for a hardworking and driven product owner to help innovate and implement product initiatives for our Insurity Geospatial solutions. This person will be instrumental in shaping the future of our product suite through product definition, thoughtful client engagement, and active collaboration with the development team. 
 
We are looking for someone who puts clients first, likes the challenge of defining feature sets that improve client business value, and relishes the opportunity to serve the needs of the extended development team to build phenomenal products with speed and quality. You will work closely with our clients, development team, and customer success team to ensure that the products remain on the cutting edge of innovation.

What Our Product Owner Will Do 

  • Works closely with Product Manager to translate product vision, strategy, and roadmap to epics and stories delivered through sprints and releases
  • Collaborate with stakeholders on feature requirements and scope for release planning
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure consensus on sprint priorities and scope of proposed enhancements
  • Determine whether new features can be released, accountable for the clean release of features
  • Work with stakeholders and scrum team leads to clarify scope and coordinate estimates for pre-sales projects
  • Identify business requirements and work with BAs to codify into well-defined stories and supporting artifacts that define the “what” and “why” for the scrum teams.
  • Ensure solutions built by the scrum team align to stakeholder expectations
  • Facilitate refinement sessions with the scrum team and ensure sprints are well planned
  • Provide backlog management, iteration planning, and elaboration of the user stories
Who We’re Looking For
  • Demonstration of strong product owner skills and advanced knowledge of insurance software development 
  • Commercial and/or Personal Lines Insurance knowledge is highly desired 
  • Experience using scaled agile development framework and environments 
  • Strong planning, communication, and presentation abilities needed 
  • Ability to work with a remote and international scrum teams in a fast-paced, dynamic environment 
  • Analytical and critical thinking, data-driven 
  • Strong operational mindset, decisive, “get it done” mentality 
  • Written and oral English communication 
  • Time management including work planning, prioritization, and organization 
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities or tasks

We have five Core Values at Insurity; one of which is to Act with Integrity.  Providing pay transparency helps you make the best decision for you.  We continuously analyze and update our salary ranges for our roles according to market trends to not only ensure our employees are paid fairly, but also help close gender, race, and disability wage gaps.  Along with the benefits listed above, the salary range for this role is $70,000 – 137,000, commensurate with experience.
