The Opportunity: 
The Client Advocate is responsible for supporting the Employee Benefits Service Team by providing excellent service and deliverables to external and internal clients in accordance with Hylant standards.

In This Role You Will Execute On:

  • Responsible for the timely servicing of an assigned group of clients
  • Provide accurate and timely response to inquiries from client employees and physician offices via phone calls and emails (for example on matters regarding enrollment questions, confirming coverage, provider searches, etc.)
  • Work closely with Service and Account Management Teams to research and correct discrepancies with enrollments and invoices and process retroactive changes.
  • Support Sr. Client Service Associate during open enrollment and beyond.
  • Process enrollments, terminations, benefit changes, salary, and address changes on an as-needed basis.
  • Research and assist with claims and billing issues, filing appeals and other duties as assigned.
  • Navigate multiple internal and external systems (including various insurance carrier systems) to provide resolution to client issues.
  • Manage individual workload and follow through on assignments in an effective and timely manner.
  • Work on special projects as required.
  • Track all events/activities in Benefit Point
  • Benefit Admin assistance (Employee Navigator, HRIS, etc)
  • Additional duties as assigned

In This Role You Will Need:
  • Development and pursuit of Personal Excellence Plan or goals as established. Participate in seminars and other training to maintain required skill level to enhance position and industry knowledge.
  • Two to five years of Employee Benefits experience
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Working toward a Valid Resident State Agent’s License and/or maintenance of license.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills, including active listening through strong verbal and written communication
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated ability to organize, plan and prioritize with effective results
  • Manage time effectively and act with self-motivation, initiative and resourcefulness
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook and able to learn/navigate various insurance carriers’ systems
  • Demonstration of analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Compliance with Hylant procedures, workflows and best practices
  • Adherence to policies outlined in Hylant Group Employee Handbook
  • Expanded industry knowledge and application of coverages and terminology highly preferred
  • Builds positive relationships with Clients on an internal and external basis
  • Mandatory attendance and participation at staff, carrier and training meetings
  • Supports Client service for accounts as required by office/team structure
