This Opportunity 

Our Chicago office is seeking a Client Communications Associate to join their growing Client Service & Marketing group. The Associate will assist in content management, editing commentary, and producing responses to requests for information/due diligence questionnaires. This role will be an integral part of the Client Communications team with responsibilities across the team’s functions. This role interacts with all of Heitman’s business units and departments and is ideal for a candidate looking to gain marketing and communications experience in the real estate industry.

 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Work with team members to maintain proposal response library. Refine existing approved content, add new content, and update/maintain integrity of existing content within Heitman's proposal management database.
  • Partner with investment teams and subject matter experts to build and edit proposal library content
  • Produce responses to requests for information/due diligence questionnaires, coordinating with subject matter experts to ensure timely completion of deliverables
  • Collaborate across internal teams (financial performance and reporting, design, client service) to oversee the response to investor requests
  • Update narratives for Heitman’s products in consultant databases
  • Provide feedback and recommendations to improve processes, policies, and customer happiness
  • Assist with editing commentary for quarterly fund/account reports and other regular client communications
  • Work with key stakeholders to produce internal communications

 

Qualifications:

  • Experience in communications, marketing, or client service; proposal or content management experience a plus
  • Excellent academic qualifications; Bachelor’s degree required. Degrees in Communications, Journalism, or Marketing preferred.
  • At least 1 to 2 years of experience required
  • Strong writing, editing, proofreading skills a must
  • Superior project management/organizational skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Can work efficiently and prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment and within tight deadlines
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team with professionals at all levels
  • Must be a results-oriented self-starter with strong attention to detail
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), SharePoint
  • Experience working in Loopio, PMAPs/RocketDocs, Qvidian, or Salesforce a plus
