SUMMARY:
The Sales Assistant/Sales Coordinator, Mass Merchants provides general administrative support to our mass merchant sales team, supporting the Vice President of Mass Merchants. This individual will be responsible for preparing presentation and communication materials, tracking key purchase orders for accounts, as well as coordinating the distribution of internal and external book and sales information.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Sales Assistant/Coordinator will be responsible for:
- Seasonal Sales PowerPoint Presentations
- Manage meetings including reserving conference rooms, setting up teleconferencing and conference calls
- Covers/ Mockups
- Ad hoc Order Tracking
- Account mailings
- Communication of Promos/Coop to publishers
- Coop Entry (Advance and Confirmed )
- Internal Title Sales Communication
- Title Change Notifications to Accounts
- Buyer and Account Request Follow Up
- Costco Order Tracking and Placement
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIRED:
- Sales Assistant/Coordinator - 2+ years of prior experience in sales and/or book publishing preferred
- Must be proficient in Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proven ability to deliver timely, accurate work product and demonstrate good follow up and follow through
- Proven ability to build supportive and constructive relationships within and outside of the organization
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively while also ensuring accuracy of work through attention to detail.

The compensation range for this position is $47,500 - $55,000. Salary can vary based on a number of factors including skills, experience, and location — talk with your recruiter to learn more. There may be times that you will be required (or requested) to work overtime due to the nature of your role or exceptional workload issues or special projects.
