Computer Operations Analyst (8am-4pm)

SUMMARY: This position will be responsible for assisting with hardware and software support for the Indiana Distribution and Returns Centers. This role will be a part of a Computer Operations support team.
 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 
  • Key role of supporting a production critical server environment consisting of Windows Server and WMware hosts.
  • Build servers and or virual hosts from the ground up.
  • Assist in production code installs as needed following given procedures and protocols.
  • Assist in supporting, configuring, and maintaining RF/mobile computer devices.
  • Assist in supporting distributed automation systems in all warehouse areas including but not limited to: Warehouse Management System,  computerized conveyor systems, order processing systems, and logistics systems.
  • Member of the software/hardware support team for users.
  • Provide advanced technical support relating to computer operations hardware and software.
  • Assist with Network Administration (AD), support and security.
  • Assist with Administration in Azure environment
  • Assist the Director of IT Infrastructure as needed
  • Assist with with backend system monitoring and maintenance from system patching to anti-virus and much more.

SKILLS REQUIRED:
  • Proven VMware or other virtualized environment support and administration in a production environment with a minimum of 5 years experience.
  • Proven Windows server support in a production environment with a minimum of 5 years of experience.
  • Proven hands-on experience with technical documentation skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Good analytical skills needed to prepare detailed process and program specifications.
  • Must be results driven, and take appropriate steps to achieve goals while taking ownership of situations as needed.
  • Proven ability to deliver timely, accurate work product and demonstrate good follow up and follow through.
  • Drives change and innovation by improving work product or process, and challenges established norms where appropriate.

  • Proven background in at least three of the following areas : RF/Mobile Computer support, Enterprise Backup package support, MS SQL/Oracle support, network hardware configuration/programming, computerized order picking or conveyor systems support, experienced script development and creation,  Label/Document System design such as Bartender or Docuware packages, or ACS/ISE support and maintenance. 
  • Cyber security practice and implementation. 
SKILLS PREFERED:
  • Azure
  • ISE support and maintenance
  • Programming/Script writing
  • Veeam Backup package or similar product knowledge
  • Docuware or Bartender software package experience
  • Background in the support of a computerized Picking Systems or computerized Conveyor Systems.
 
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:  At least an Associates Degree required or equivalent accumulated education.  Technical education or certifications and experience may be substituted for traditional college background.  Minimum 5 years direct contact with server administration and support.
