Billing Auditor- Carrier and Logistics
Description
- Reviews, verifies, audits, and processes small parcel carrier invoices for payment processing, ensuring successful processing, accuracy, and compliance with contracts and accounting standards.
- Documents shipping trends and variances, relaying information to logistics stakeholders for root cause analysis and resolution.
- Maintains data, reports, records related to small parcel carrier cost and billing, ensuring compliance with established record keeping practices.
- Identifies and disputes billing discrepancies with carriers.
- Prepares, tracks, and updates expense reports.
- Performs month end accruals for pending payments.
- Collaborates with cross-functional departments to verify and maintain accurate general ledger coding.
- Works closely with the cross-functional logistics teams to ensure standard operating procedures (SOPs) related to carrier billing are maintained and updated.
- Coordinates training for the cross-functional logistics teams to ensure sufficient support and operational coverage.
- Suggests process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
- Reconciles paid claims.
- Performs other related duties and projects as business needs require at direction of management.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or Logistics preferred, or any equivalent education and/or experience from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been demonstrated/achieved.
- Minimum five (5) years of experience in performing high volume small parcel carrier billing, billing operations, financial or data analysis, invoice reconciliation, or dispute resolution required.
- Experience working with carriers, vendors, or third-party logistics (3PL) required.
- APICS Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) a plus.
- Six Sigma for process improvement a plus.
- Data analytics related certifications a plus.
Pay Range: $29.00-$40.00/hr
