Sr. Staff SW QA Engineer
Description
- Lead QA efforts across multiple product lines and releases
- Design and execute QA test plans and test cases based on product requirements
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including development, product management, and automation
- Drive quality initiatives and ensure alignment with business goals
- Identify, document, and manage software defects using bug tracking systems
- Participate in requirement reviews and provide QA feedback
- Ensure comprehensive test coverage and traceability for all functional requirements
- Mentor and guide junior QA engineers in testing practices and tools
- Represent QA in project planning and review meetings
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders on test progress, risks, and mitigation plans
- Lead functional QA activities within the team and provide strategic input on test planning
- Foster a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous learning within the QA team
- 11+ years of hands-on experience in functional QA testing
- Proven experience in leading QA efforts and mentoring team members
- Strong understanding of QA methodologies and software development lifecycle
- Strong understanding of data traffic payload
- Experience with test case management tools (e.g., TestRail, Mercury Center)
- Experience on traffic generation tool (Xena , Spirent , Ixia ..)
- Familiarity with bug tracking systems (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla)
- Solid understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, L2/L3, L4–L7)
- Scripting knowledge (Python, Perl, TCL, Expect) is an advantage
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field
