This role focuses on post-sales deployment and optimization of Gigamon’s network visibility solutions, ensuring positive business outcomes for customers. The Professional Services Engineer will join a collaborative, innovative team with a strong emphasis on customer satisfaction, system optimization, and quality delivery. This is an individual contributor role that works closely with cross-functional teams, system architects, and end-user technical teams. The environment values technical expertise, problem-solving, and security-driven thinking. This is a hybrid role based in São Paulo (extended area), Brazil, and will occasionally require on-site support at customer locations.
 
What you’ll do: 
  • Lead solution design, deployment, and optimization efforts for Gigamon’s network visibility and security products.
  • Work in a hybrid model based in São Paulo, Brazil, providing occasional on-site deployment, troubleshooting, and optimization support at customer locations as needed.
  • Identify deployment alternatives and propose optimized solutions for customers across various industries, including mobile networks, service providers, and enterprises.
  • Conduct testing, documentation, and pilot deliveries to ensure high-quality deployment results.
  • Work with Gigamon and customer network visibility and security teams on policy compliance efforts in line with Gigamon standards, industry privacy and security regulations, and guidelines set forth by applicable country, federal, and local laws.
  • Identify opportunities to leverage existing and prospective network visibility solutions, reviewing relevant use cases, security policies, and procedures with business stakeholders.
  • Partner closely with system architects to ensure business systems and applications meet security requirements in preparation for end‑user review, actively participating and contributing to internal Gigamon reviews.
  • Collaborate with Gigamon and end‑user technical teams to ensure developed tools, systems, and applications meet appropriate security standards, policies, and procedures.
 
What you’ve done: 
  • 8+ years of hands-on experience in the operational design and deployment of network management tools and applications in large-scale and/or virtualized networks, supporting mobile networks, service provider, enterprise, or government use cases.
  • Strong technical expertise in network protocols (TCP/IP, L2/L3, IPv4, IPv6), virtualization (VMware, Hyper‑V), and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, OpenStack).
  • Cloud certifications (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) are highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in programming languages (Python, Java, C) and working with APIs is a plus.
  • Proven experience leading technical initiatives without formal authority and collaborating with virtual teams across different geographies.
  • Familiarity with security frameworks and cybersecurity standards (ISO 27001/27002, CIS, NIST) is highly desirable.
