The ASPIRE Intern Program is designed to immerse you in a team environment from which you will gain hands-on experience, knowledge, mentorship, and professional skills that will catapult your career.  You will work daily within your host team as well as participate in weekly fun and insightful activities created specifically for our intern cohort.  Your program will conclude with the presentation of your final project presented to our executives by you and a representative from your host team.    
Program Details and Requirements:  
  • 8-week paid summer intern program located in the U.S. (remote eligible).
  • Interns will have an opportunity to earn income while at Forescout and will be paid $20 per hour for a maximum of 30 hours per week for the duration of the program.
  • Must be at least a junior in college or equivalent trade or technical school. 
  • Must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher (and be able to provide their transcript) 
  • Must live in the location of the internship opportunity.

What you will gain from this internship:   
  • Learning Various Marketing Functions: Interns will have the opportunity to gain exposure to and learn about various marketing functions as they take on a central role in marketing data analysis. This includes understanding how data analysis supports functions. Interns will see firsthand how data-driven insights impact decision-making across the marketing spectrum.
  • Data Analysis Skills: The intern will develop strong data analysis skills by working on real marketing data sets. They will learn how to clean, organize, and analyze data using tools like Excel, databases, and BI, to extract actionable insights.
  • Marketing Analytics Knowledge: The intern will gain a deep understanding of marketing analytics concepts and techniques, such as customer segmentation, ROI analysis, A/B testing, and attribution modeling.
  • Data Visualization: The intern will learn how to create compelling data visualizations using tools like Excel, sales and marketing systems, and BI tools.
  • Communication Skills: The intern will enhance their ability to communicate complex data findings to non-technical stakeholders, making data-driven recommendations and insights more accessible and actionable.
Must-Have Skill Requirements:  
  • SQL: Knowledge of SQL for querying databases, extracting data, and performing data transformations.
  • Advanced Excel Functions: Proficiency in using advanced Excel functions such as VLOOKUP, INDEX-MATCH, SUMIFS, and pivot tables for data analysis.
  • Attention to Detail: A keen eye for detail to ensure data accuracy and reliability.
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to explain complex findings clearly.
Nice-to-Have Skill Requirements:  
  • Scripting Languages: Competence in scripting languages like Python or R for data analysis, automation, and modeling tasks.
  • Data Visualization: Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, or data visualization libraries in Python.
  • Marketing Knowledge: A background or coursework in marketing or digital marketing can be beneficial but is not mandatory.
  • Market Research Skills: Knowledge of market research methodologies, surveys, and competitive analysis techniques to enhance understanding of customer behavior and market trends.
