What You Will Do

The International Senior Accountant role is a critical role within our International Accounting team, responsible for accounting for our 20+ entities. 
 We are looking for the financial professional who can be a part this organization into our next chapter:  Extending our current systems and processes – infrastructure that has served our over 3,000+ customer base, across 70 countries and our over 1,000 employees at revenue levels exceeding $300 million annually – on to the next level:  1,000+ employees and annual revenues approaching $500M.  
Key routine responsibilities of the role include helping build our international accounting operations in India as we bring the accounting of our 20 subsidiaries in-house by managing day-to-day accounting operations for our subsidiaries.  Ensuring compliance with the Company’s internal control procedures. This position will partner with the International and US accounting teams to ensure the maintenance of the necessary infrastructure, compliance, and processes within our global operations.
Key non-routine responsibilities of the role include extending our current systems and processes to levels necessary to continue the Company’s rapid growth trajectory
The position will report to the International Assistant Accounting Manager.
The International Senior Accountant will possess strong organizational, communication and accounting skills. The candidate will be self-motivated with the ability to work in a fast paced team environment helping to provide solutions for issues identified. The successful candidate is a competent individual with integrity, accountability, strong interpersonal skills, and a team player. The position requires a “hands on” person who is flexible, hard-working and able to work well under pressure.
 
 
Key Responsibilities: 
  • Assist the International Assistant Accounting Manager build out our Accounting Shared Services function in India, partnering with our global accounting team to ensure compliant with US GAAP and the Company internal control procedures and to drive continued scalable process improvement across organization
  • Management of complete accounting for 4-5 subsidiaries including:
    • Month end close journals and account reconciliations  
    • Produce Monthly Financial reporting package including flux analysis
    • Other Accounting operations as requested, such as book closure.
    • Assist the International Controllership team in statutory compliances and local audits.
    • Managing accruals, intercompany transactions, prepaid, fixed assets, etc., in co-ordination with AP and other teams, as applicable.
  • Coach the junior accountants  in the team in ensuring timely, accurate and reliable deliverables.
  • Collaboration with other Accounting team members from other functions such as international and US controllership, taxation, accounts payable, treasury, payroll and procurement.
  • Assessment of existing processes, including system use, and implementation of improvements that can be made to support scalability in future operations
  • Assist with special projects as needed
 
Desired Skills & Experience: 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 5+ years’ experience in Accounting and / or Finance, preferably with experience in high growth environments (high technology, specifically in software industry preferred)
  • Prior experience working with foreign subsidiaries, including intercompany accounting and payroll a plus
  •  Experience in handling statutory compliances and audits will be preferable.
  • Proficient with MS Excel.
  • System savvy and ability to work with different applications and databases; experience with Oracle Fusion Cloud, NetSuite and other cloud-based ERPs is a plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the demonstrated ability to work independently, yet cooperatively and constructively, in a team environment.
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills with a strong attention to detail
  • Proven success in working independently and as part of a team
